One of the most common things we hear in a consultation is some version of the same question. What can you do about this skin? The looseness, the texture, the pores that no skincare product seems to touch. Patients are not always sure what they are looking for. They just know something has changed and they want it addressed.
MicroTox® is often the answer they did not know existed. And if you have never heard of it, that is not surprising. When Deanna, RN trained in this technique, fewer than 400 providers in the entire country had learned it. It is not something you will find at every medspa. We offer MicroTox® in Hudson Oaks and Granbury, and it is one of the most interesting treatments we provide.
This Is Not Your Regular Neurotoxin Treatment
When most people think of neurotoxin, they think of Botox. They think of forehead lines and the worry about looking frozen or overdone. MicroTox® is a different thing entirely.
MicroTox® is a registered and trademarked injection technique. The neurotoxin is highly diluted and injected just under the surface of the skin, not into the deeper muscles responsible for facial movement and expression. Because it never reaches those muscles, there is no risk of a frozen appearance. Your face moves exactly the way it always has. What changes is the skin itself.
What Happens When We Treat You
At that superficial depth, neurotoxin does something remarkable. It relaxes the tiny structures within the skin, including the muscles around pores and the glands that produce oil. The skin responds immediately. Deanna, RN can see the tightening happening in real time during the treatment. By the time you look in the mirror, the results are already there.
Pores appear smaller. Skin looks smoother and more refined. Oil production calms down. The overall effect is what the skincare world calls glass skin: that luminous, almost airbrushed look that most people assume is only possible with a filter. It is not.
What MicroTox® Can Treat
MicroTox® works beautifully for patients dealing with loose or crepey skin, enlarged pores, excess oil, and uneven skin texture. It is a strong option for anyone who wants real improvement without downtime, a long appointment, or a result that looks like they had something done.
It is also one of the few treatments that can address raised scars. Scars are not just a cosmetic concern. They can be tight, uncomfortable, and sometimes painful. MicroTox® injected into scar tissue helps relax and soften it over a series of treatments, gradually making the scar smoother and less symptomatic. For patients who have lived with a raised scar and assumed nothing could be done, this can be genuinely life-changing.
How MicroTox® Compares to XERF
Patients sometimes ask how MicroTox® compares to XERF, our radiofrequency skin tightening treatment. Both address skin laxity, but they work differently and serve different needs. XERF stimulates collagen production and creates deeper structural change over time. It is an excellent treatment for patients who want long-term remodeling of the skin.
MicroTox® works at the surface level and delivers instant results. It does not stimulate collagen, but it tightens, refines, and improves texture in ways XERF cannot. One important example: XERF cannot be used over the thyroid gland. MicroTox® does not have that limitation, which means patients who need treatment in areas where XERF is not an option still have an effective path forward.
MicroTox® is also generally more cost effective for patients who want to target a specific area. A full face XERF session is a two-hour commitment. MicroTox® allows us to focus precisely on the areas that matter most to you, often in significantly less time.
The right answer depends on your goals, your anatomy, and what your skin needs most. Many patients benefit from both at different times.
You Are in Experienced Hands
MicroTox® is a specialized technique that requires specific training. When Deanna, RN completed her certification, fewer than 400 providers in the United States had been trained in this method. That number has grown, but it remains a skill set that sets Radiant Aesthetics apart from a general medspa offering.
You are not getting a trendy treatment performed by someone who watched a tutorial. You are getting a technique delivered by one of the earliest trained providers in the country.
